About Roger H. Gower, MD

Dr. Gower, a native of Greenville South Carolina has been with Greenville OB/GYN Associates since 1982. He received his undergraduate education at Emory University and his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at University Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida and then returned to the Medical University of South Carolina where he completed his residency training in OB/GYN in 1982. Dr. Gower then moved back to Greenville and joined Greenville OBGYN associates. He is board certified in OB/GYN and participates in voluntary annual recertification. Dr. Gower has served as president of the Greenville Memorial Hospital medical staff and has been a board member of the American Red Cross, the Upstate History Museum and the United Way campaign. He volunteers at the Greenville free medical clinic and is an active member of Westminster Christian Church where he is a former Elder. He has served as Vice Chairman for quality in OB/GYN at GHS and is now serving as the interim department chair. He enjoys hiking, biking and occasionally golf. He is the proud father of four children and currently five grandchildren.
