Patewood Memorial Hospital (PMH), located on the Patewood Medical Campus, provides a convenient location and a state-of-the-art, relaxing healing environment for those having elective, inpatient surgery. Orthopaedic and gynecologic surgeries are performed at Patewood, and in September 2017, PMH will begin offering obstetric services at The Family Birthplace–Patewood and Family Beginnings–Patewood.
Numbers can say a lot of things, but one that we’re proud of is that 92 percent of patients at Patewood Memorial Hospital report on HCAHPS (a nationwide patient satisfaction survey) that they would “definitely recommend this hospital to others.” Only 24 hospitals in the country scored a higher percentage. We want our patients to have a great experience at Patewood, and it shows in our care.
Note: No Emergency Services are offered at Patewood Memorial Hospital.

In 2015, Patewood Memorial Hospital was awarded The Gold Seal of Approval by The Joint Commission for its total joint replacement program, involving knee, hip and shoulder replacements. It was the first hospital in South Carolina to receive the commission’s Gold Seal for its shoulder replacement program (2013), and the only hospital in the state to have all three designations—knee, hip and shoulder.
