Tobacco Cessation Course

As part of Oconee Medical Campus’ commitment to improving the health of our community, the Wellness Center offers FREE tobacco cessation courses to the community. The program material comes from the American Cancer Society’s Freshstart® tobacco cessation program which offers education, resources, and support to assist you as you work towards quitting tobacco use and improving your health!

How long is the course?

The course is a 3-part group series held once a week for three consecutive weeks. The courses are normally held on Tuesday night from 5:30-6:30PM, but dates and times may vary, depending on demand.

Do I have to quit while in the course?

No! You are not required to quit while participating in the course. The course is set up to work with people in all stages of readiness to change. So, whether you are not sure you are ready to quit or you have already made a commitment to stop, the course has something to offer you.

Who can participate?

The program is free to ANYONE in the community who wants to participate.
