Help yourself live better and longer by exercising, eating right and reducing stress. All the services and support you need to achieve your health and fitness goals are available through GHS Life Center Health & Conditioning Club. Medically based programs and classes are tailored to the general public, senior citizens, recovering patients, athletes and others. Certified personal trainers help you meet your fitness goals safely and keep you motivated.
Did you know that regular physical activity increases your chances of living a longer, healthier life? It also reduces your risk for high blood pressure, heart disease and some types of cancer. Yet in South Carolina, less than 50% of adults get the recommended amount of physical activity.
Our physical fitness experts know exactly how much exercise you need, and can help you get there. So, whether you’re new to an exercise routine, or a fitness champion, GHS Life Center offers something for everyone. We have programs that teach proper exercise techniques as well as nutrition education classes. Remember, it’s not only about fitness, but your overall health.
The American College of Sports Medicine has some specific recommendation for physical activity. These include 150 minutes of activity per week through a combination of aerobic activity and muscle strength training exercises.
