GREENVILLE, S.C. – Representatives from Great Clips franchises in our area recently presented Children’s Hospital of Greenville Health System (Prisma Health) leadership a check for $50,000 that represents funds raised during their annual Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) fundraiser.
The Great Clips fundraiser was part of their Great Deeds program and focus on giving, doing and caring throughout local communities. More than 1,400 Great Clips salons participate in raising funds each year for local children’s hospitals. In the Greenville market, 53 Great Clips locations were involved in the campaign and surpassed their goal of raising $50,000. The four-week campaign ran the entire month of October, and participants are able to donate at each location.
Prisma Health Children’s Hospital provides care for over 400,000 children a year through the region’s largest group of pediatric specialists and the funds raised continue to support specially trained child life specialists; specially trained facility dogs; camps for kids with a variety of medical conditions and research to aid young patients to heal physically and emotionally.
“We appreciate Great Clips and their fundraising efforts,” said Robin LaCroix, MD, Prisma Health Children’s Hospital medical director. “Their involvement in raising dollars and awareness for our hospital has made a tremendous difference in our ability to provide the most comprehensive health services for our children and their families in our community.”
