Easley, S.C. (February 14, 2017)—The Greenville Health System Eye Institute is opening a new office in Easley with a familiar face to many in the community.
GHS Eye Institute-Easley will open Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 109 Fleetwood Drive. Dr. A.J. “Buddy” Thompson, a long-time Easley ophthalmologist, is joining the practice.
“I am excited to continue serving patients in Easley as part of the GHS Eye Institute,” Thompson said. “Our practice is located in a convenient location where patients can have eye exams, get glasses or contacts and eye surgery if it’s needed. It’s also the same building where I started serving the folks of Pickens County over 35 years ago.”
The practice will be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Appointments can be made by calling 864-522-3900.
The GHS Eye Institute has six ophthalmologists and two optometrists. They are trained in general ophthalmology, cornea and refractive surgery, dry eye, cataract surgery, glaucoma management, diabetic eye exams, pediatric ophthalmology, oculoplastic surgery and contact lenses.
All of the practice’s ophthalmologists are board certified and they use the latest techniques and newest equipment to perform delicate eye surgeries. Learn more about the GHS Eye Institute at ghs.org/eye.
