GHS celebrates opening of multispecialty practice in Boiling Springs

Boiling Springs, S.C. (March 17, 2017)—GHS Medical Center-Boiling Springs, a multispecialty practice that offers a convenient location for everything from an annual checkup and prescription refill to physical therapy and urgent care, opened today at 2400 Boiling Springs Road in Spartanburg.

“I’m looking forward to seeing patients in this new facility and being part of a center that offers many services under one roof to meet the various healthcare needs of our community,” said Dr. Katie Spinks, a GHS internal medicine and pediatrics physician.

The 20,000-square-foot practice features 24 exam rooms, internists and family medicine physicians. Urgent care services are provided by GHS MD360 and Upstate Pharmacy provides pharmacy services. ATI Physical Therapy is also onsite to help people heal from injuries. Additionally, the GHS Department of Psychiatry offers behavioral health services by physician referral.

“This is one of the fastest growing communities in Spartanburg County, and we are excited to be part of it,” said Dr. Wendell James, GHS chief clinical officer for Greer and Spartanburg. “We are looking forward to building relationships and being a place for people to visit for a planned appointment and to be there for the sprains, strains, fractures and colds that must be dealt with after a doctor’s office is closed.”

MD360 is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Its Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon until 6 p.m.

Those looking for an internist or family medicine physician can schedule an appointment by calling (864) 599-0731 or visiting ghs.org/boiling-springs-appointments.
