We are prepared to care for you

If you are a patient with an appointment, our office will call you and together we will determine how best to conduct your appointment – in-person, over the phone, by video or rescheduled for a later date.

If you are a patient without an appointment and need care, or if you’re not a patient and need care – please call the office and together we will determine the best course of treatment for you.

Important Information


We see all patients on an appointment basis, and ask that you call in advance so that we may reserve time for you. The office phone number is (864) 882-5306. We try to see all patients on time and request that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately. Please try to give us 24 hours’ notice so that this time may be given to another patient.

Missed Appointments

If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify the office at least 24 hours in advance. A $25 no-show fee may be charged when appointments are not cancelled in time.

Hours of Operation

Our offices are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

After Hours

For all medical emergencies, please call 911. After hours, The office phone number is (864) 882-5306 one of our physicians is on call and available for urgent issues.


Our goal is to have you in and out of our office within an hour. Please let us know the purpose of your visit when you phone to schedule your appointment so we may reserve the appropriate amount of time. We pledge to make every effort to start and finish your visit on time. If your problems are such that more time is needed it may be necessary to schedule a follow-up appointment for you as a courtesy to our other patients. Emergencies do happen. If we are delayed by an emergency for more than 15 minutes, we will offer to reschedule you.

We accept registration via fax, mail, or in the office on the day of your visit. Forms may be downloaded from our website. We encourage registration at least 24 hours prior to your visit. If you must register the day of your appointment please arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time for filling out forms. Bring your medications or a complete printed list of all your current medications and note which of these medications need to be refilled. Please bring insurance cards with you to your visit and be prepared to pay any copay or deductible.

Prescriptions & Renewals

All prescriptions and authorizations for renewals should be requested during normal office hours. Refill requests are usually processed within 24 – 48 hours.

Medical Questions

Throughout the day, most patients’ questions can be answered by one of our experienced staff. Calls made before 4:00 p.m. will be returned that same business day.

Emergency Care

In the event of a medical emergency, dial 911 or go immediately to the emergency room of the nearest hospital and ask them to contact your doctor. If the situation is not a medical emergency and arises while the office is closed, telephone (864) 882-5306, and the answering service will promptly forward your message to the doctor on call. You will receive a response as quickly as possible.

If an urgent situation arises while the office is open, call the office. The doctor will be in touch with you either directly or through office personnel to give you instructions on where to go for care.


Healthcare insurance is intended to cover some, but not all, of the cost of your treatment. Most plans include a co-insurance, a deductible, and other expenses which must be paid by the patients.

If you have insurance, please bring your plan information with you to your first visit. We will work with you to assure that you receive the maximum benefits to which you are entitled. If you have questions regarding your coverage, please ask a member of our business office staff, and we will work with you to find the answer.

Fees & Payment

Payment for Service: Our office will inform you of co-pay and deductible amounts at check in or check out. These amounts are due at the time of service.  As a courtesy to you, we will file your insurance claims if you provide us with a copy of your current insurance card.  We require that you pay your deductible, co-payment, and/or any charges not covered by insurance.

Method of Payment:  You may pay your bill with cash, personal check, certain credit cards, or debit card.

Returned Checks:  A $25.00 service charge will be added on all checks returned to us for insufficient funds.

Non-appointment prescription refills:  A $15.00 charge per incidence may be added for non-appointment prescription refills.

Non-appointment prescription:  A $25.00 charge may be billed to you for new prescriptions filled via phone.

Completion of medical forms:  There may be a charge for completion of forms such as disability, camp physicals, etc.

Copies of Medical Records:  There may be a charge for completion of this process; SC Sec. 44-7-325 for Health Care Facilities.

    • $.65 per page for the first 30 pages
    • $.50 per page for all other pages
    • Clerical fee not to exceed $15.00
    • Plus actual postage

No-show Appointments:  A fee of $25.00 for a follow up visit and $50.00 for a new patient visit or endoscopy procedure may be charged for all missed appointments not cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the appointment time.  You will be financially responsible for the fee, as insurance plans do not cover these charges.  You may notify our office of any cancellations by calling during normal office hours.

Payment for Services Provided by Prisma Health Providers: If you are having laboratory and/or diagnostic services by providers other than this office or other practices doing business as Prisma Health, you may be billed separately by that service provider.

Collection Policy: Delinquent accounts will be forwarded to a collection agency.  We will inform you of your account status on your statement.  If you are unable to pay your balance promptly, please call us at 864-454-2000 or 1-888-284-6024 to make payment arrangements.  We will attempt to contact you by letter before your account is forwarded.
