The Greenville Health System Eye Institute Optical Department offers a wide variety of frames to fit every budget, from economy to designer lines. These include Sillouette, Liz Claiborne, Guess, Versace and many other lines.
We offer the latest in lens technologies that maximize your vision capabilities. Digital progressive lenses give you the widest field of vision offering the most clarity available. When combined with antireflective coating it allows 8 to 9% more light to pass through the lenses and helps reduce bothersome reflections especially at night. Transition lenses may be added that darken and lighten when exposed to UV light to offer UVA and UVB protection. Various lens materials are available to cut weight and thickness of the lenses.
We carry Ray Ban, Costa Del Mar and other sunglass brands that when combined with polarized lenses and antireflective coating will offer your eyes maximum protection from damaging rays from the sun.
Our contacts lens department in conjunction with the doctors will provide you with the best fit, comfort and visual acuity available. Our staff will offer instruction in insertion, removal and care of contact lenses. We at Greenville Health System Eye Institute will ensure that you are wearing the best lens available for your eyes.
Our Senior Optician David Gosnell, comes to us with over 30 years experience. He and his staff will assist you in selecting the eyewear that best suits your needs. Come by and we will go over your VSP and employee discounts.
Routine dilated eye exams should be done every few years to make sure the entire eye and surrounding structures are healthy. Several of our physicians perform routine exams. Whether one needs glasses for distance, near activities, or both, an examination of the tear film, cornea, natural lens, vitreous, retina, optic nerve, lids and orbit should be done on a regular basis.
Has your child had their eyes checked this year?
We know that kids can be rough on glasses, so we’re including a warranty for unlimited replacements of the frame and lenses due to damage of any kind during the 12-month warranty period.
