Inpatient Brain Injury Program

The Inpatient Brain Injury Program of Roger C. Peace Hospital (RCPH) offers a breadth of services and maintains specialty accreditation by the Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).  RCPH provides rehabilitation to individuals with brain injuries of all levels of severity. We are proud to have the distinction of being an ACBIS Alliance Member through the Brain Injury Association of America which recognizes and honors providers of brain injury services that support and encourage national certification of their staff commitment to provide higher quality services to persons with brain injury.

An injury to the brain can occur as the result of trauma, a tumor or a disease. Brain injuries often result in physical impairments as well as significant changes in language, memory, thinking, behavior and personality. We treat patients of all types, including those suffering from traumatic brain injury (TBI), non-traumatic brain injury, and brain injuries combined with spinal cord injury or multiple fractures and amputations.

Comprehensive interdisciplinary care provides reinforcement of treatment goals throughout the day for patients at all functioning levels. We are committed to seeing the potential in every person, to patient-centered goal setting, and to treatment planning that is creative and dynamic. Specialty interventions and approaches address the physical, behavioral, cognitive and visual challenges associated with brain injury.

The Inpatient Brain Injury Program at RCPH maximizes outcomes and advances through the continuum of care from inpatient rehabilitation to the next level of care.
