Group prenatal care is used in many settings across the United States, primarily through a program called CenteringPregnancy™. Group prenatal care allows you to meet with other women who share similar due dates and combines prenatal care with a discussion and support group.

Taught by a certified lactation consultant, this class prepares couples for the breastfeeding experience and offers practical solutions for common problems.
Mother should enroll approximately 6 to 8 weeks prior to due date. Classes are for pregnant women and their support partner. There are separate classes for siblings, dads and grandparents in addition to the Prepared Childbirth Class.
A chance to meet with other moms and talk with a lactation consultant. Bring your baby, meet other moms, share birth stories, breastfeeding joys and tribulations. The group meets on the second Thursday of every month from noon-3 p.m. in our office.
Our goal is to support women in natural childbirth and minimal intervention in the process of birth. It is our belief that all first time mothers and any woman who has not experienced a non-medicated, natural childbirth should receive comprehensive childbirth preparation. There are many philosophical approaches and instruction methods for assisting women in meeting this goal – Hypnobirthing, Lamaze, Bradley, etc. We encourage you to visit our Patient Resources page to learn more about birthing methods and what is right for you. We will support you in whatever method you choose.
Greenville Midwifery Care & Birth Center is pleased to offer Hypnobabies in our office! This class is taught by Julie Byers. For more information, please visit www.juliebyers.com/hypnobabies.
