Neuroradiology

The neuroradiology section consists of eight fellowship-trained neuroradiologists who are highly skilled in the performance and interpretation of MRI, CT, nuclear medicine, and myelography for the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of neurologic diseases involving the head, neck, and spine. We work in close collaboration with our colleagues in neurology, neurosurgery, oncology, otolaryngology, trauma surgery, and pediatrics, participating in regular interdisciplinary conferences.

Services

Diagnostic subspecialty areas include, but are not limited to, cerebrovascular disease, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, neuro-oncology, neurodegenerative diseases, otolaryngology, pediatric neuroradiology, spine imaging, and trauma. Advanced imaging techniques available include CT perfusion, MR angiography, functional MRI, diffusion tensor imaging, magnetic resonance spectroscopy, brain PET and SPECT imaging, and dopamine transporter imaging (DaTscan).

A spine intervention service provides a variety of therapies for back pain, including epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, and sacroiliac joint injections. We also perform CT-guided spine biopsies and vertebroplasties, and have a burgeoning interventional oncology service.
