Missed appointments

If you are unable to keep an appointment, we request that you notify the office 24 hours in advance. Missed appointments may result in a fee. Our clinical staff is available to answer questions and help you decide if you need an appointment.

After hours

For all medical emergencies, please call 911. The practice provides patients an after-hours nurse triage system for events that occur outside of office hours. This service will answer medical questions to determine the level of urgency for follow-up. The nurse will either direct you to an emergency center or MD360® (see below for more information), provide additional medical information, or will assist in scheduling a next-day appointment with an available provider.

MD360 (1305 S. Suber Road) is available, as needed, for convenient care with these extended hours:

Mon.-Fri., 6 a.m.-10 p.m.
Sat., 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Sun., noon-6 p.m.

Medical questions

Our clinical staff is available to answer questions. We request that routine questions be asked during office hours. A staff member will make every effort to return your call within 24 hours.

Hospital coverage

Patients who are admitted to the hospital for treatment will be cared for by Prisma Health hospitalists (the inpatient physician team).

Nurse visits

Visits to the nurse are scheduled by appointment for immunizations, weight checks, blood pressure checks, B-12 shots, testosterone shots, cardiac event monitors, diabetes and/or osteoporosis education, and medication assistance programs.

Prescriptions and prescription refills will be given at your office visit. If you need a refill between visits, please call us during office hours. We will need two business days to process requests for prescription refills. Please note: We do not refill routine prescriptions after hours or on weekends.

Special forms and correspondence

A processing fee will be applied for special forms and correspondence, including but not limited to requests related to life insurance, employment, sports/physicals, driver’s licenses, nursing home and assisted living admission forms, and FMLA.

Insurance and payment Policy

Payment for co-payments and deductibles must be made at the time of your visit. Our office will assist you in filing claims with your insurance company. Please be familiar with your insurance benefits and requirements. There may be fees from your insurance company if you use an unapproved location for laboratory tests or fail to obtain appropriate authorizations. Please notify our office with any changes to your insurance, address, phone number or personal information.
