At the Center for Family Medicine, our physicians and staff are excited about the opportunity to help you improve your health. We are passionate about providing whole-person care. We know that you are more than your diagnosis or ailment, and we look forward to the opportunity to build lasting relationships with you.
In family medicine, we specialize in providing high quality care to people of all ages and genders. Most of our physicians deliver babies, too. As an academic center, you can be confident that you are receiving the highest quality care according to the most current guidelines and recommendations. This practice is a Family Medicine residency program, accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. The Center for Family Medicine is the heart of the Greenville Health System Family Medicine Residency program. Resident physicians have completed medical school and are fully licensed to practice in the state of South Carolina, and have chosen additional training to specialize in Family Medicine.

If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify our office at least 24 hours in advance.

If you need to be hospitalized, we have resident physicians at the GHS hospital facility (Greenville Memorial Hospital) around the clock. These doctors specialize in offering immediate, high quality, continuous care to hospitalized patients. Upon discharge, you will be given a follow-up appointment at the Center for Family Medicine.
visits with a nurse for immunizations, blood pressure or weight check and Depo-Provera injections are scheduled by appointment.
Refill requests should be called in during normal practice hours and typically take up two business days to process. All controlled drug prescriptions require a visit with a provider. For non-controlled medications, renewal requests will be sent to your designated pharmacy, at the discretion of the physician.
Insurance and Payment Policy
CFM is an accredited Family Medicine residency program. Our office visits are billed to your insurance provider as an outpatient facility for GHS. Our faculty oversees the residents in our program and can bill a professional fee for that oversight of residents. This duty creates what is known as a split bill. As a patient you may see two bills, one from University Medical Group for the professional fee and one from GHS for the facility bill.
Medicare and Medicaid have provisions in their billing structure to allow payment of these oversight faculty professional charges. Many private insurance payers do not. If you have questions about whether your private insurance would cover your visit to CFM, please contact your insurance company for guidance on your coverage guidelines.
We will file your insurance for you. Insurance copayments and other monies owed are expected at the time of service, unless previous payment arrangements have been made. All co-payments are expected during the check-in process. We accept credit cards, checks and cash.
