Center for Family Medicine–Greer

We are prepared to care for you

If you are a patient with an appointment, our office will call you and together we will determine how best to conduct your appointment – in-person, over the phone, by video or rescheduled for a later date.

If you are a patient without an appointment and need care, or if you’re not a patient and need care – please call the office and together we will determine the best course of treatment for you.

At Center for Family Medicine–Greer (CFM–Greer), we work as a team to give you excellent care. Your care team includes physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and support staff.

We focus on you and your family. You are at the center as we take care of you! We want to help you understand your diagnoses and treatment options. We want to partner with you in your care and help you know how to have good health in general.

Our care is based on proven science. We want our treatments to work well and to be safe. When you are sick or have questions about your health, we want you to come here to your medical home. Our physicians know about recent advances in medicine and have the latest education in the field. That means our staff will provide high-quality care.

For a Good Visit and Better Health for You

Your visit with the provider will go better if you …

  • Are ready to say how you or your family member is doing (at work, at home, at school, with sleep, etc.)
  • Write down and bring a list of questions
  • Bring a list of all doctors you see and their contact information
  • Ask for help in creating and sharing a complete record of your care
  • Bring a list of all medicines (prescriptions and over the counter) you (or your child) take

Access and Communication

Our practice wants to be available when you need us. Please ask about any special communication needs you have or any help you need in reaching us.

  • If you call for advice after hours, you will be connected to our nurse triage line. They can help answer your clinical questions and/or connect you to the physician on call.
  • When you have tests or procedures, we will call you within four days if the results are abnormal.
  • If you need a specialist, we will give you information about that practice and how to make an appointment. Either someone from that practice or a CFM–Greer staff member will give you the appointment information.

New appointments: To reduce wait times, we see patients by appointment only. When you are sick and need to come in right away, we can provide same-day appointments.

Missed Appointments: If you cannot keep an appointment, please call our office at least 24 hours in advance.

After Hours: If you think you are having an emergency, please call 911. If you need to speak with one of our doctors, call the main line. The answering service will talk with the doctor on call.

Nurse Visits
To see the nurse for shots (including for birth control), blood pressure checks or weight checks, please make an appointment.

Prescription Refills
For a refill request, please call our office during office hours. You can pick up the medicine in two days from your pharmacy. Prescriptions for controlled substances require a visit with a provider.

Medical Records and Forms
You can ask for your medical records at our front desk. Immunization records will be available in two business days.

When You Are in the Hospital
Our care does not stop in the clinic! If you need to go to Greer Memorial Hospital, we have a team of doctors who can take care of you there. Our team in the hospital and our doctors here in the clinic work closely together to provide ongoing care, no matter the setting.

Insurance and Payment Policy
CFM–Greer is part of Prisma Health and is in network with most commercial insurance plans. We also accept Medicare and Medicaid.

Your office visits are billed to your insurance provider after your visit. You will be expected to pay your co-pay and any outstanding balances at the time of your visit unless previous payment arrangements have been made.

We accept credit cards, checks and cash. You also have the option to make payments directly through MyChart. We recommend you contact your insurance provider to ensure your specific plan is in network.
