Because of the generosity of our community, we have built and maintained our beautiful Cottingham House inpatient hospice facility. Donations have also helped provide quality of life enhancements for hospice patients, new technology to enhance patient care, training and certification for staff, and so much more.
There are many ways that families may support Hospice of the Foothills.
Families may choose to acknowledge Hospice of the Foothills in an obituary and/or make a donation in memory or in honor of a loved one. Acknowledgement letters are sent to the family of the memorialized or honoree.
There are rooms, artwork and leaves within the Cottingham House that may be named by or after a loved one – a great way to leave your legacy at the house. Please contact us at 864-885-7912 for more information.
Planned giving such as a bequest, a charitable trust, a life insurance policy or an estate gift will positively impact Hospice of the Foothills for years to come. A documented planned gift will qualify you for induction into the OMH Legacy Society. A realized estate gift of $100,000 or more will qualify you for induction into the Doyle Society.
Hospice Unrestricted Fund
Donations directed to this fund help provide support for the areas of greatest need as determined by the local board of directors.
Named after David Crippen, MD, founder of Hospice of the Foothills, this fund is a savings account that provides sustainable income for Hospice of the Foothills’ future operations. Once this fund grows to $1 million, a portion of the earnings will be spent each year – ensuring that Hospice of the Foothills’ services last forever in our community. Naming opportunities exist for larger gifts to this fund.
All donations remain in our Mountain Lakes community and are tax-deductible through Oconee Memorial Hospital Foundation (ID #56-214-1740). Funds are managed and maintained by our local board of directors.
