Our vendors reflect our workforce and our community

The Supplier Diversity Program is part of Prisma Health’s commitment to make supplier diversity part of the system’s culture and the way it conducts business. We realize it is important to have suppliers who mirror the diverse workforce and patient base served by the state’s largest nonprofit health care organization.

In  2018, Prisma Health focused on advancing supplier diversity.

Suppliers are grouped into tiers:
Tier I suppliers are direct minority, veteran or woman-owned businesses
Tier II suppliers are diversity vendors, typically smaller companies subcontracted as part of a larger project.

Prisma Health–Upstate collaborates with the Greenville Chamber Diversity and Inclusion Program as well as the Minority Economic Development Institute to maximize exposure for minority businesses through supplier matchmaking sessions and business expositions. Additionally, we participate in the Carolinas-Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council to identify new suppliers, share best practices and create opportunities for minority businesses to take part in the bid process.

Supplier registration

Our program criteria

At Prisma Health a business qualifies as diverse when it is 51% owned and operated by individuals who are members of one or more of the following groups:

  • African American, Hispanic, Asian Pacific American, Native American, Asian Indian American (MBE)
  • Caucasian Female or Women (WBE)
  • Veteran/Service Disabled Veterans (VBE/DVBE)

Preferred certification

Prisma Health prefers and encourages all diverse suppliers to have certification through one or more of the below national organizations.  While it is not a requirement, certification provides our suppliers with excellent resources and opportunities to strengthen our partnership.  Follow the links below to register:

Vendor registration process

Working with a healthcare organization requires that additional steps are taken to ensure the health and safety of our patients. If your business/service/product requires that you be on site at any one of our healthcare facilities, you must register your organization with our third party vendor credentialing program. This requirement is applicable to all representatives of your organization who could be onsite at one of our facilities. Please follow the link below to register your business and take a moment to familiarize yourself with our Vendor Visitation Policy as well as our Product Evaluation Policy.

Staffing vendors

Prisma Health partners with Qualivis, which is a national provider of healthcare workforce solutions, specializing in supplemental staffing. Click on the button below to register your business or ask any questions about the request for proposal (RFP) process.

  • Your information will be routed to the Purchasing Department for consideration.
  • Please note that a completed registration form does not guarantee business opportunities with Prisma Health.  However, it is the first step in gaining visibility for your business.
  • Your information will be reviewed once received and you will be contacted if there are any questions or potential opportunities to explore.
