The Greenville Health System Young Stroke Program component provides specialized treatment services to those younger than the typical stroke age. Candidacy is based not solely on age but also on required therapeutic intensity and interdisciplinary needs. We also work closely with the Brain Injury Association of America.
Patients work to reach recovery goals with neurologists, nurses, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and neuropsychologists at the Peace Rehabilitation Outpatient Brain Injury Program. A vocational rehabilitation counselor helps patients transition back to work.
