GHS Receives Research Compliance Accreditation

Greenville Health System (GHS) is one of 204 organizations in this and other countries to receive full accreditation from the prestigious Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs, Inc. (AAHRPP).

AAHRPP accreditation is recognition that the policies, procedures, and oversight of human subject research programs at GHS meet or exceed federal, state and locally-mandated standards for the conduct of human research. Also, AAHRPP accreditation requires GHS to meet or exceed the highest level of patient safety and protection standards that other recognized human research institutions expect.

GHS is among the first institutions in the state of South Carolina to seek and acquire international research compliance accreditation.
Achieving AAHRPP accreditation demonstrates a concerted, focused commitment to excellence.

Prospective participants and the general public are assured that the GHS research compliance program proudly displays the AAHRPP seal as recognition that GHS is committed to the highest standards of ethical human subject research and protection of the research program participants.
