How to Apply

General Residency Application Process

The Greenville Health System/University of South Carolina Program offers four (4) first year Categorical positions in psychiatry. The program participates in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) psychiatry match and will complete interviews prior to the deadline for submission of the rank order list.

 

Application Process

 

Interested applicants must apply to the program through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) system.

 

Application Deadline: To be eligible for selection, applicants must apply via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) by December 31, 2012, and must be enrolled in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). However, we may close applications once we have filled our interview schedule.

 

Visas: The Greenville Health System/University of South Carolina sponsors J-1 visas only.

 

Selected interviews are conducted in November, December, and January, and all interviews must be scheduled.

 

Notification of successful applicants – All interviewed candidates are reviewed by the Resident Selection Committee to complete the rank order list that is submitted to the NRMP. Successful applicants will be notified by NRMP match results, followed by a letter from the program.
