Call Schedule and Work Hours
We are in a unique position of having all clinical services currently offered being fully covered by our faculty. We have no plans to create any resident dependent clinical services. Education is our focus and priority. Following ACGME policy on duty hours, there will be no overnight call for PGY 1 residents. At this time there are no plans to create an overnight call during the remaining PGY 2 – 4 training years. A typical day will be 0800 – 1700 Mon – Fri. Evening call will be “in house” from 1730 – 2200 one week night per week, Mon – Fri. Weekend call will be “in house” 0800 – 1800 on Sat. or Sun. once every three or four weeks. A typical work week will be 50 – 60 hours.
