This is not just a catch phrase, but a reminder of a tradition. Graduates of the Internal Medicine and Medicine-Pediatrics residency programs and Internal Medicine fellowship programs at Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center are part of a rich heritage that began with the formidable leadership of William “Putt” Pryor, MD, the first academic chairman of the Department of Medicine. 

After 30 years of offering post-graduate training, the department is starting an alumni association, the Pryor Society . Pryor Society membership includes past graduates of Internal Medicine and Medicine-Pediatrics residency programs, Internal Medicine fellowship programs, as well as current and past Internal Medicine faculty.

Pryor Society Legacy Fund Circles

The Pryor Society Legacy Fund supports activities such as house staff programs, campus improvements, curricular enhancements, library purchases, technology upgrades and house staff/faculty research efforts.  Please help us to build upon our rich heritage.  Every individual who contributes to the Pryor Society Legacy Fund in our inaugural year will be perpetually recognized as a member of the Founder’s Circle.

Making a Donation to the Pryor Society Legacy

If you would like to make a difference and support the Pryor Society Legacy Fund we offer various options for contributing to the fund.  Contributions to the Fund are tax deductible to the full extent allowable by law.  We also encourage you to check with your employer to find out if your donation is eligible for matching funds and mail in the appropriate forms.  It’s an easy way to give even more!
