- The Greenville Hospital System/Cigna® Health Plan, a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), is available to full-time and part-time employees and their eligible dependents
- A higher benefit is paid for using “preferred providers” and in some cases, no benefit is paid for services obtained outside the preferred provider network
- Newly hired employees have a thirty-one day waiting period before coverage is effective
Prescription Drug Benefit Summary
- Participants of the Greenville Hospital System health plan have flexibility and convenience when utilizing their prescription drug benefit by filling their prescription either via mail-order, at participating pharmacies, at GHS Upstate Medical Pharmacy, or at Upstate Pharmacy Eastside.
- Participants of the plan will save money by filling prescriptions at Upstate Medical Pharmacy, Upstate Pharmacy Eastside or via mail-order.
Dental Plan
- The Greenville Hospital System/Cigna® Dental Plan is available to full-time and part-time employees and their eligible dependents
- Newly hired employees have a thirty-one day waiting period before coverage is effective
Health Services Benefit
- Available to all employees and members of their immediate family
- Outpatient Services – discount of the lesser of 10% of charges or 50% of covered charges remaining after insurance has made payment is waived
- Among exclusions: cosmetic surgery, physician office visits
