We would like to welcome you to the pediatric residency webpage of the Greenville Health System (GHS). The GHS pediatric program is committed to providing a unique training experience in an outstanding environment. Our goal is to provide top-notch clinical training, supplemented with opportunities for academic growth and achievement as well as a strong sense of community involvement. GHS is a large network of hospitals and medical offices serving the needs of 70% of patients in the upstate region of South Carolina. Children’s Hospital provides the vast majority of inpatient care for the children of this region, while the Children’s Hospital Outpatient Center houses the subspecialty pediatric practices that serve upstate South Carolina and beyond. GHS also serves as the upstate campus for the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. We feel strongly that this combination of community-centered care with a strong academic focus will ensure that our trainees are well prepared for a variety of career choices, including community-based pediatrics, academic general pediatrics, or subspecialty training.
