If we look to Abraham Flexner, we find that it is the presence of medical students that makes any medical center truly academic. The Department of Ob/Gyn at the Greenville Health System is proud to share in the heritage of medical education through our partnership with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.

Our Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) program spans the breadth of the medical student curriculum. We offer programs that allow students to participate in all aspects of an academic and clinical career. Our clinical clerkships and electives enable interaction with women in all stages of life, from adolescence through, and beyond menopause. Our research programs offer mentored training from accomplished faculty researchers.

I invite you to explore our programs and find out what we have to offer. No matter what your particular area of interest or anticipated future scope of practice, I think you will find that our UME programs will challenge you to not only learn the medicine of our field but also to grow as an outstanding clinician.
