Neuroscience Institute

Prisma Health Neuroscience Institute is a leading treatment and research center for complex neurological conditions. Our providers spend their time helping patients while also training the next generation of physicians at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville. Specialists from Neuroscience Associates and Southeastern Neurosurgical & Spine Institute work in tandem to provide diagnostics, medical treatment, surgery and support services to patients of the Neuroscience Institute. Through its programs, the Institute advances Prisma Health’s mission to heal compassionately, teach innovatively and improve constantly.

Why choose Prisma Health?

Comprehensive support programs. We know that neurological disorders affect quality of life and the ability to perform basic daily tasks. We believe it’s important to treat the entire person, not just the disease. That’s why we offer support groups, psychological support services, and in-depth patient education programs.

Advanced medical records technology. Our secure online portal, MyChart, allows you to view test results, make appointments, request prescription refills, and message your doctor using any web-enabled device. Our technology also allows anyone on your care team to securely access your health information.

Expert collaborative care with world-renowned endovascular neurosurgeons. When Hillcrest High School student Elizabeth Callaham begins school this week, she’ll do so as a survivor. Callaham suffered a horseback riding accident last fall, resulting in a traumatic brain injury that required emergency surgery to remove a blood clot on her brain and repair her fractured skull. Today, Callaham is again an active 17-year-old ready to begin her senior year. Read more of her incredible story via The Greenville News
