The Minority Health Summit is a community health education initiative held every year by GHS in April to observe National Minority Health Awareness Month. The 8th Annual Minority Health Summit will include a keynote presentation by Professional Boxing Champion and Prostate Cancer Advocate, Sugar Ray Leonard.
The Summit is open to youth and adults ages 13 and up. The event will also include physician panel discussions, healthy lifestyle presentations, on-site community health partners, exercise demonstrations and entertainment.
The GHS Minority Health Summit’s purpose is to educate and increase awareness of major health disparities that disproportionately affect the lives of minorities in our community. The event has many components, including expert physician speakers, health-risk assessments, medical information and the opportunity to be paired with a medical home.
