The Cottages at
Brushy Creek

The Cottages at Brushy Creek is a state-of-the-art senior care center based upon the revolutionary "companion model," a philosophy of care based upon the idea that while most seniors have companions at home, they lose that companionship when they transition to a nursing facility.

With The Cottages at Brushy Creek, we seek to provide seniors in need of skilled nursing care with the comfort and security of having a dedicated companion to assist them with bathing and dressing, do their cooking, cleaning and laundry and plan activities to keep their minds and bodies active.

Surrounded by walking trails and gardens and anchored by a community center, The Cottages has the feel of a neighborhood. There are 144 beds divided among 12 houses. Each house functions independently, and each is equipped with a kitchen, pantry, dining room, living room, den, laundry room, beauty parlor and covered patio.

Each cottage has a caregiver, but care is resident-directed. That means each resident decides when he or she will get up, go to bed, eat, socialize and whether pets will be among his or her housemates, so that everyone living at The Cottages feels as though their house is truly their home.
