Lila Doyle Nursing & Rehab Center

Selecting the right nursing and rehabilitation center is an important decision. In addition to being “home” to residents requiring long-term care, Lila Doyle at Oconee Medical Center is a rehabilitation center for those needing short-term placement following a hospitalization and a respite care provider offering short-term stays for those receiving care at home.

Located on the Oconee Medical Center campus, Lila Doyle’s care focuses on creating a home-like atmosphere. We take pride in the care we provide for those who live in our facility. In fact, it’s likely that you may know some of our staff members as many of them have grown up in the area and have stayed here to raise their own families. We are community members taking care of community members. As a staff, we have cared for our parents, grandparents, neighbors and friends. We pride ourselves in staff retention and longevity.

Our facility consists of a 120-bed long-term care unit with 90 full-time residents requiring on-site skilled nursing care and a 30-bed rehabilitation unit for those recovering from surgery or illness. We’re located on the site of the original Oconee Memorial Hospital which opened in 1939.

Our History

In the early 1930’s, a group of concerned citizens joined together to raise funds to build a community hospital. Dr. William Doyle and his wife, Lila, donated 15 acres of their farm land for this purpose. At their deaths, they donated the remainder of their 150 acre farm to the hospital, along with considerable cash assets. To honor them, our facility was named for Mrs. Doyle Lila Doyle adheres to the stringent standards established by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC).
