Greer OB/GYN

We are prepared to care for you

If you are a patient with an appointment, our office will call you and together we will determine how best to conduct your appointment – in-person, over the phone, by video or rescheduled for a later date.

If you are a patient without an appointment and need care, or if you’re not a patient and need care – please call the office and together we will determine the best course of treatment for you.

At Greer OB/GYN, you’ll receive care that is truly comprehensive – care that’s based on the most current medical knowledge and that fits your life. We believe that the only way to give you that kind of care is by listening to you, by seeing you as a person and not just as a patient. Gynecologic patients are encouraged to choose a physician to be their “main doctor.” Obstetric patients see all six physicians on a rotating basis so that there are no “strangers” on the day (or night) of delivery. Surgeries and deliveries are performed at Greer Memorial Hospital.

To make an appointment please call 864-797-9200.

Having a baby? Congratulations!

The providers and staff of Greer OB/GYN know that pregnancy and birth are key events in the life of any family. We consider it a privilege to be part of your pregnancy and birth experience. That’s also why we strive to provide you with high-quality care in a comfortable, nurturing environment.

Pregnant women have many choices and options. Starting the decision-making process early will help you achieve the best possible outcome for you and your baby. Registering in advance for your delivery, preparing for your birth with childbirth classes and exploring planning for your care after you return home will make your pregnancy experience easier.

Office policies

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment to complete any necessary updates.  Bring your insurance card and picture ID to each appointment. Please be aware that your co-pay or deductible is due at the time of service. If you do not have insurance, payment is expected at the time you receive services.  Our office requires a 24 hour notice of appointment cancellation. There may be a fee for missed appointments.

Lab tests and fees

Laboratory procedures such as Pap smears, biopsies and blood tests are conducted in our office and then completed by a licensed laboratory, which receives the specimens for analysis. Your insurance company may require your lab work to be sent to a particular lab with which it has a contract. If so, please let us know in advance. You will receive a separate bill from the lab for these analyses.

If you have any questions about your coverage after you have spoken to your insurance company, please call our office and speak with the insurance department. As a service to our patients, we file all insurance claims. All patients should bring proof of insurance with them to each visit; usually this is in the form of an insurance card. If you are a member of a PPO/HMO or other managed care insurance agency, please call before your appointment and confirm that we participate in your particular plan. Be sure that you have the correct authorization or referral from your primary care physician (“regular” doctor) before coming to the office. Ultimately, it is the patient’s responsibility to abide by her particular plan. Any co-pays or deductibles will need to be paid at the time of your visit. If you are pregnant, our financial counselor will sit down with you on your first visit to our office to discuss any fees, your financial obligations and payment arrangements. If you do not have insurance, we ask that you make payment in full at the time of service. If you have Medicare, Medicare determines the fee for all medical visits and procedures. We do ACCEPT ASSIGNMENT with Medicare. Medicare pays 80 percent of the preset fee. You will be responsible for 20 percent at the time of your visit. If you have secondary insurance, we will file it for you. If you have not met your calendar year deductible at the time of service, we will ask you to pay that amount.
