Laurens Family Practice opened in a building on West Main Street; in 1980, it moved to its current site on Parkview Drive. The satellite office located between Gray Court and Owings opened in 1996.

Our team includes seven doctors, two nurse practitioners and one physician assistant. Our goal is to provide comprehensive and compassionate care for each patient we see – the kind of care we want our own families to receive.

Medical services

On-site Laboratory

Our laboratory is fully credentialed by CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) and the American Academy of Family Physicians proficiency program. It is staffed by a certified laboratory technician. Basic labs are run in house to allow our practitioners to make rapid diagnosis and management decisions. We also use reference laboratories with 24-hour response times on most tests.

On-site X-ray

We have in-house radiology services at our Laurens location, which is staffed by a certified radiology technologist. X-rays are taken by the technologist and interpreted by your physician at the time of your office visit.

Pediatric care

Our physicians have pediatric privileges at Laurens County Hospital and are available to see your newborn there after delivery. All our providers are trained in the care of the well and the sick child. Full immunization services are provided. We are interested in sports medicine and perform many of the pre-participation sports exams in our area.

All our physicians and nurse practitioners regularly round on patients in our local skilled nursing facilities. Two of our physicians are certified medical directors for skilled nursing facilities. Our physicians serve as medical directors for skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities and hospice programs.

Hospital care

If you are admitted to Laurens County Hospital, care will be provided by a Prisma Health Hospitalist who will keep your primary care physician informed of your condition and treatment plan.

Gynecologic care

Our physicians and nurse practitioners are trained to provide primary health care for women, including obtaining and managing Pap smears, performing regular breast exams, monitoring mammography results and assisting in the management of optimal bone health

Occupational medicine

Our staff provides acute care and screening exams for a variety of industry. We practice with a philosophy of returning employees to the workplace in a caring and efficient manner. Our lab is able to offer drug screening and breath alcohol testing. We are willing to make on-site visits to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for all.

Our practice is an NCQA-recognized Patient-Centered Medical Home!

The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Recognition Programs assess whether clinicians and practices support the delivery of high-quality care and are built on evidence-based, nationally recognized clinical standards of care.
