Class Descriptions

90 Minute Workout     IA
Saturday morning class that blends elements of Cardio Interval, Athletic Drills, and Muscle Moves.  
 
Ab Express     BIA
This class gets right to the point—30 minutes dedicated to toning, tightening and strengthening the midsection!

Athletic Drills     IA
Strength training, plyometrics and drills to challenge the muscular and cardiovascular systems--one hard-core class!

Arthritis Aquatics
A 45-minute water class designed by the Arthritis Foundation to improve mobility and range of motion.  Not an aerobic workout.

BB&T     BI
Strength training class that utilizes balls, bars, bands and tubes to improve muscular endurance and balance.

BRT / BRT +     BIA
Barbell Resistance Training uses barbells with varying resistance to strengthen and tone.  BRT + may include cardio intervals.

BRT-ease     BI
Nice way to ease into BRT.  Same workout pattern, just slower and more focused for the new or mature exerciser.

Cardio Pump      IA
Basic stepping with light weights for a full hour of heart pumping exercise.  

Cardio Challenge   IA
A full hour of non-stop cardio to get the heart pumping—killer calorie burner!

Cardio Interval / Cardio Core    BIA
Alternate non-choreographed cardio intervals with weight training and core strengthening for a total body workout!

Chair Yoga     BI
A gentle, seated form of Hatha yoga for all ages and stages.

Chisel     IA
This advanced class challenges every muscle group with weight training and core stability!

Cycle Express    BI
30 minute version of one of our most popular class styles.  Excellent for beginners!

Cycle Strength/Cycle Core     BIA
Cycle fusion classes that blend the incredible workout of a typical cycling class with muscle conditioning and core strengthening exercises.  

Cycling     BIA
Instructor-led class on indoor bikes. Water bottles are required.  Sign up at the front desk or call 455-4231.

Lunch Express     BIA
Variety of strength and functional training in a circuit format. Quick, fun and effective class led by conditioning staff.

Multi-Level Yoga     BI
Yoga for everyone.  Different levels are taught so everyone gets the workout they want.

Muscle Moves     BIA
Strength class with all the bells and whistles to work every muscle in your body!

Mve Pilates Chair    IA
The principles of a mat Pilates class are applied using the Pilates Mve chair for an added challenge. Equipment is limited—first come, first served!

Pilates Mat Class     BIA
This class uses the Joseph Pilates method to improve strength and flexibility for the whole body.  First time participants should register for a Pilates System Introduction or a 1-on-1 session with a certified Pilates instructor.

PiYo         BIA
Mind-body fusion class for people who like to sweat!  Challenging blend of Pilates, yoga and dynamic balance.

Prime Time     BI
Enjoy aerobic training with an oldies beat.  Upper and lower body conditioning is included!

Restorative Yoga     BIA
Gain the benefits of yoga through gentle poses and breathing techniques to unwind, relax and de-stress for the weekend.  

Step and Sculpt     BIA
Step and strength training combined into a total body interval    workout that keeps the heart rate up!

Stretch and Relax     BIA
Gentle stretching and relaxation exercises—a great way to invigorate and re-charge the body!

Super Circuit     BIA
A total body workout alternating strength and cardio in circuit format.  Great for all levels!

Tread N’ Shed     BIA
Instructor-led treadmill workout accommodating both runners and walkers! Set your pace and follow the instructor’s lead up hills, stair steps, and mountain peaks—superb cardio! Reservations recommended, 455-4231.

TurboKick      IA
Come to the evolution of kickboxing! Specific combinations known as “rounds” are taught over the course of 6-8 weeks, building more intensity and complexity over time.  

Virtual Cycling     BIA
Follow the lead of an instructor while viewing scenes from all over the world on the big screen.  Registration required.

Water Fitness     BIA
Splish splash!  Water classes designed for all fitness levels.  Need not know how to swim.

Zumba            BIA
Fuses Latin and International dance styles set to upbeat, motivating music.  Combines fast and slow rhythms that burn calories and sculpt the body.
