Ever felt your dreams…the dreams about how your life would turn out…slowly slip away? It happened to me. But not right away. Our dream when we married was to continue our life as musicians and have several children. We had our first child, Cooper, and life seemed perfect. Then we tried to have a second child. That’s when my dream…our dream started to slip away. Over four years I had five failed pregnancies. My physicians couldn’t figure out what was wrong. Tests showed no underlying cause to lose five pregnancies.

Endometriosis accounts for up to 40% of infertility cases but in my situation, it may have also contributed to the recurrent pregnancy loss. I had surgery to remove my endometriosis, and became pregnant within a month of trying.
To see and hear the heartbeat…it was music to my ears! We knew Levi was on his way. My mom told me that, after I got home from the hospital, I’d just walk around the house, holding him and saying. “I can’t believe I have him.” I still sometimes catch myself saying, “I still can’t believe you’re here!”
Now I have something amazing to sing about. We’re blessed beyond measure, thanks to our physicians at Piedmont Ob-Gyn and Dr. Lessey.
