Golfer

Triumph on the Greens
Our annual golf event is a two day experience. An instructional clinic is held on the first day in order to provide individuals with disabilities the opportunity to practice their golf game or learn for the first time. Clinic participants are taught to use adaptive golfing equipment and techniques in order to improve their success.  This clinic is provided at no cost to the community.

The event continues on the second day with an all day golf tournament. Individuals and local businesses are encouraged to participate. Each participating team consists of three able bodied golfers and one golfer with a disability. The tournament is captain’s choice and is concluded with great food and prizes. The tournament is also a fund raising event, with proceeds benefiting Aaron’s Fund and other Roger C. Peace Rehabilitation Hospital community outreach programs.

Skier

Triumph on the Water
Each summer, UCAN offers a weekend long Ski Bash to the community with no participation fee. Two full days of water skiing is available to children and adults with various disabilities, including (but not limited to) spinal cord injury, spina bifida, stroke, head injury, and limb amputations.  This event is made possible by the appreciated donations of money and time from volunteers, individuals, and businesses.

How to Participate
Each year, the annual golf tournament and Ski Bash is both packed full of enjoyment, fellowship, and the opportunity to meet many people within the community. The tremendous joy it provides for both the volunteers and participants is priceless. Please contact us and request to be added to the mailing list for all of our events.
