During your pre-anesthesia visit, you might be asked to meet with an admissions representative. At this time, you will need to make a deposit for the charges not covered by insurance or other sponsoring agency. Your representative will estimate this deposit based on a projection of the length of your hospital stay and the estimated charges not covered under your insurance program.
We must ask that you settle hospital charges at, or before, discharge, either by insurance benefits or cash arrangements. We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express and American Medical credit cards. If you have made adequate financial arrangements upon admission, you will receive a courtesy discharge and will not have to stop by the Business Office before leaving the hospital.
If you have a question regarding a medical bill you received from Greenville Health System (GHS), you can access account information from a touch-tone phone, 24 hours a day through the automated Account Service Line at (864) 454-8611 or toll free at (800) 998-8995. Please have your account number available. You can also call to request an itemized bill for your account or to request a summary of your open accounts at all GHS facilities.
If you have any questions about your account that cannot be answered through the automated account service line, customer service representatives are available to talk with you from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
You may receive other bills from your own doctor, doctors who assisted in your care or doctors who read your test results. These doctors bill for their services separately. Contact them directly regarding billing questions. These doctors may include:
