PGY 1:
• 3 blocks: Primary Care Medicine: GHS Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and/or Family Medicine
• 1 block: Emergency Medicine: Greenville Memorial Hospital (GMH) Emergency Department
• 1 block: Neurology: GMH Neurosciences Service
• 6 blocks: Adult Inpatient Psychiatry: Marshall I Pickens Hospital MIPH)
PGY 2:
• 3 mos: Adult Inpatient Psychiatry: Harris Psychiatric Hospital (HPH)
• 3 mos: Emergency Psychiatry: GMH Emergency Department
• 3 mos: Consultation/Liaison Psychiatry: GMH
• 3 mos: Child/Adolescent Psychiatry: MIPH
PGY 3:
• 12 mos: Outpatient Psychiatry: Brownell Center (located at MIPH)
• 12 mos: Community Psychiatry: Greenville Mental Health Center & Piedmont Center for Mental Health Services
PGY 4:
• 1 mo: Addiction Psychiatry: Pavillon International Treatment Center (PITC)
• 1 mo: Forensic Psychiatry
• 4 mos: Senior Resident Selective: Inpatient or Outpatient

Conferences/Didactics
Residents will have protected time for clinical conferences and didactics, usually one afternoon per week. Most clinical conferences are from 1200 – 1300 over lunch. Didactics are in two blocks of two hours each one afternoon per week. Once per quarter there is a “Fifth Tuesday” with protected time from 1200 – 1700 dedicated to research activities throughout the four year curriculum.
