Graduate Medical Education

Curriculum

The curriculum of our Med-Peds program at the Greenville Health System (GHS) is designed to give our residents a broad exposure to primary and specialty care for adults and children in a variety of settings. Our residents rotate between medicine and pediatrics every three months throughout the four years of residency, with a gradual increase in the level of responsibility over the four years. Our residents function at the PGY-1 level for 15 months, and then assume supervisory roles on both medicine and pediatrics. Each academic year at GHS is broken down into 13 four-week blocks.
