Teaching Responsibilities

The weekly minimally invasive surgery case conference will be led by the MIS fellow. There is a daily morning report to discuss the patients on the service with the resident team and attendings. 

A laparoscopic skills dry lab is available to residents and fellows. This training adjunct is available 24 hours a day and contains box trainers and a laparoscopic simulator. The fellow will obtain certification by completing the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery (FLS) training module. There will be four animal skills labs at Clemson University that the fellow will help the MIS faculty proctor for the general surgery residents.
