Teaching Responsibilities

The weekly Minimally Invasive Surgery case conference will be led by the MIS fellow. There is a daily morning report to discuss the patients on the service with the resident team and attendings.

There is a laparoscopic skills dry lab for residents and fellows. This training adjunct is available 24 hours and contains box trainers and a laparoscopic simulator. The fellow will obtain certification by completing the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery (FLS) training module. There will be 4 animal skills labs at Clemson University that the fellow will help the MIS faculty proctor for the general surgery residents.
