Research

Fellows will participate in clinical research and will be expected to submit the data generated to national meetings and prepare manuscripts for publication. The fellow will be encouraged to present at and attend the American College of Surgery Clinical Congress, SAGES Annual Scientific Meeting, the American Hernia Society Meeting, and the Southeastern Surgical Clinical Congress.

The Minimally Invasive Faculty have research interests in hernia repair, biomaterials, laparoscopic training, bariatric outcomes, and general minimally invasive techniques. There are basic science capabilities at Clemson University.
