Curriculum
The clinical rotations will be divided into 3 month blocks. The rotations will be divided between the Minimal Access Surgery service and the Bariatric Surgery service. One rotation will be spent at the Hillcrest campus with the Bariatric Surgery service. The fellow will be ultimately responsible for the care of patients on the service. He/she will work with the residents to cover all operative cases and provide state-of-the-art patient care.
The fellow will spend one half day a week in the private office setting evaluating patients with the attending. The fellow will also staff the minimally invasive surgery clinic which meets every other week with the residents.
While on the Bariatric rotation, the fellow will participate in Bariatric Committee conferences to familiarize themselves with implementing and maintaining a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence.
