The Institute for Vascular Health

The Institute for Vascular Health (IVH) is designed to offer patients a “one-stop shop” for a wide variety of cardiovascular services, care and diagnostic testing.  Like the rest of the Patewood Campus, the institute features centralized patient registration, billing and concierge services.

The system’s IVH, is a comprehensive resource for vascular research and clinical care, is housed within the institute. The largest non-invasive peripheral vascular laboratory in the Southeast, the GHS alliance performs thousands of studies annually and is home to the state’s only vascular surgery residency and first vascular medicine fellowship.

There is an outpatient non-invasive peripheral vascular laboratory at the institute, as well as a specialized imaging center for performing chest X-rays, cardiac nuclear imaging, echocardiography, 64-slice CT and phlebotomy.

GHS’ Venous Center for the treatment of complex venous disorders and cosmetic treatment of varicose veins is located at the institute.

In addition, the cardiovascular institute’s fourth floor will house translational labs used by the Clemson University Bioengineering program for bio-skills simulation and research.

Prosthetic Care Inc., which specializes in foot and leg orthotics and prosthetic limbs, also serves patients at the institute.
