Women Experiencing Heavy Bleeding If you experience heavy bleeding two to five days of your regular menstrual period and if heavy menstrual bleeding keeps you from your normal social and work activities, you may qualify for a research study of an investigational drug for heavy menstrual bleeding. This investigational drug is not a hormone. You must be a generally healthy woman between the ages of 18 and 49, have regular menstrual cycles with heavy bleeding and not have any other bleeding disorder. If you qualify, you will receive free study drug and study-related procedures including physical exams, electrocardiograms, eye exams and laboratory tests. You will also receive compensation for your time and travel. Call Cheryl at (864) 455-5951.
Women With Secondary Amenorrhea
If you are a woman 18 to 45 years of age with secondary amenorrhea, if you haven’t had a period for at least three cycles over a period of six months, or if you have been given hormone replacement therapy (HRT) by your doctor for this condition, you may qualify for a clinical research study concerning an investigational oral medication for women. Qualified participants will receive free periodic gynecologic exams, a mammogram if over age 40 without having had one within the past year, and investigational oral medication. Compensation may be available for time and travel. Call Karen at (864) 455-5932.
Women with Nocturia
The Minirin “melt” study is a research study testing a fast dissolving formulation of an investigational medication for nocturia. If you are 18 or older and use the bathroom an average of two times per night, you may qualify to participate in this research study. Study participants will receive study-related office visits, lab tests and study medications at no cost. Compensation for time and travel may also be provided.
