Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers have been essential to the Greenville Hospital System (GHS) since 1912. Today, over 1,000 dedicated volunteers contribute in excess of 100,000 hours of time, energy and care annually.

Volunteers help patients, visitors and staff throughout GHS facilities – they escort patients, run the Gift Shop, cuddle babies, deliver mail, visit patients and assist in many other areas. We welcome teenage, college student, adult and senior volunteers. All volunteers 18 years or older are eligible to join the GHS Auxiliary, which was founded in 1954 to raise funds for various projects benefiting GHS patients, visitors and employees.

To begin the volunteer application process, complete the on-line application or call the Volunteer Office at 864-455-7994. Once your application is completed, you will be invited for a personal interview to determine the best fit for you.
