The visitor policy is observed at all Greenville Hospital System hospital locations.A patient’s Care Partner may visit any time at the patient's request. A Care Partner is a family member or close friend, at least 18 years old, chosen by the patient to participate, at various times, in the emotional, physical, educational, social, and spiritual support of the patient. Please remember to take care of yourself as well as the patient. Click here for tips on caring for yourself as well.
All others visitors are asked to observe the normal visiting hours of 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. For patient safety, our facilities will be locked from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Exceptions to these hours will be made when appropriate. Interested visitors should see a guest services representative for an exception to the normal visiting hours.
Visits from family members and friends can be helpful. However, there will be times when patients prefer not to have visitors. We encourage family and friends to call in advance to make sure their visit will be convenient. A good way to show the patient that you are thinking of them is to send an e-greeting.
Greenville Hospital System will provide each patient with three visitation signs for use during their stay. These signs will be located on the patient’s door. Please observe the requests of the patient.
Our staff members respect and support each patient’s decision on visitation, and we should be notified if our assistance is needed in any way.
