Visiting Hours in Special Areas

Visitation will vary for patients in a critical care unit or other special areas:

GMH Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
Coronary Care Unit
9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m., 8 p.m.
Other ICUs will observe the 9 a.m.-9 p.m. visiting hours.
Please check with the receptionist and obtain additional information before you visit.

Emergency Rooms
9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Two visitor badges are available for each patient. These badges may be shared, but no more than two people may visit with the patient at one time.

Allen Bennett Memorial Hospital and Greenville Memorial Labor & Delivery Areas

OB Admissions Unit: one person at a time

Labor Rooms: three people at a time

Delivery: For a routine vaginal delivery, the patient may have up to three adults present, with the physician's permission (check with the physician or nurse regarding the presence of children during delivery).

OB Operating and Recovery Rooms: One adult may be present for uncomplicated cesarean deliveries. This person may visit in the recovery room after the patient is stable.

Mother-Baby Unit
Immediate family: 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
Extended family and friends: 6-9 p.m.

We encourage grandparents and healthy siblings to visit (because of the risk of infection to the new baby, only brothers and sisters of the new baby may visit on the Mother-Baby Unit). We recommend a brief visit after lunch so that moms and babies may rest.

Newborn Nursery
Two adults may visit in the nursery. Siblings under 14 may not visit in the nursery.

Neonatal ICU – Greenville Memorial
Parents may visit at any time except during shift change and patient rounds.
Family and special friends may visit with a parent only. Only parents may visit after 9 p.m.

Greenville Hospital System Marshall I. Pickens Hospital - Behavioral Health
Geriatric Unit: 11 a.m.- 1 p.m., 4:30-6:30 p.m.
Adult Inpatient Unit: Mon., Wed., & Fri., 7-8 p.m.; Sat. & Sun., 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Child/Adolescent Unit: Mon., Wed., Fri., Sat., & Sun., 6-7 p.m.

Greenville Hospital System Roger C. Peace Hospital - Rehabilitation
Mon.-Fri., 4:30-8:30 p.m. Sat. & Sun., 1:30-8:30 p.m.
