Visiting Hours in Special Areas | |
Visitation will vary for patients in a critical care unit or other special areas: GMH Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Emergency Rooms Allen Bennett Memorial Hospital and Greenville Memorial Labor & Delivery Areas OB Admissions Unit: one person at a time Labor Rooms: three people at a time Delivery: For a routine vaginal delivery, the patient may have up to three adults present, with the physician's permission (check with the physician or nurse regarding the presence of children during delivery). OB Operating and Recovery Rooms: One adult may be present for uncomplicated cesarean deliveries. This person may visit in the recovery room after the patient is stable. Mother-Baby Unit We encourage grandparents and healthy siblings to visit (because of the risk of infection to the new baby, only brothers and sisters of the new baby may visit on the Mother-Baby Unit).
