Geriatric Stroke Rehabilitation Program

The Geriatric Stroke Rehabilitation Program at Roger C. Peace Rehabiliation Hospital exemplifies excellence in the continuum of care provided by the Greenville Hospital System. Rehabilitation is initiated as soon as possible by a specialized medical team including physicians, nurses, therapists, neuropsychologists, and case managers experienced in assessing the extent of cognitive and physiologic impairments associated with the Geriatric Stroke.

Comprehensive evaluations are designed to meet the needs of the geriatric patient. Treatment plans are developed to help the patient and care giver return home as soon as possible. Patients and families work with clinicians to learn about nutritional and functional needs. Patients are evaluated for prosthetics, orthotics, and other adaptive equipment, including SaeboFlex®, a custom orthosis and therapy program designed to help restore hand function.
