Neuro-Oncology MDC

Patients with brain cancer receive coordinated and comprehensive care at one location through the Greenville Hospital System Neuro-Oncology Multidisciplinary Center (MDC). Experienced medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and neurosurgeons use a focused approach to the treatment brain cancer and brain metastasis. The Neuro-Oncology MDC is supported by the Greenville Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP), Greenville Hospital System researchers, and radiology and pathology experts.

GHS Neuro-Oncology MDC services include:

  • Assessment of new patients with suspected or recently diagnosed brain tumors

  • Dedicated oncology nurse and scheduler who coordinate various diagnostic imaging and lab services and are direct contact for patients

  • Re-consultations for patients previously diagnosed with brain cancers and metastisis

  • 24/7 availability of neurosurgical staff for ER and in-house consultations for brain malignancies

  • Stereotactic diagnostic procedures for brain tumors

  • Novalis BrainLab Stereotactic Radiosurgery and Radiotherapy
