Vascular Lab
Using the latest ultrasound technology, the Greenville Hospital System vascular lab is the largest accredited lab in the region. Reviewed by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL), the vascular lab meets the highest standards in the field today. The lab retains 10 full-time Registered Vascular Technologists (RVT) and services are available throughout the Upstate; Greenville Memorial Hospital, Allen Bennett Memorial Hospital, and Patewood Medical Campus.
Over 17,000 non-invasive exams are performed annually. Each exam is reviewed and read by board-certified vascular surgeons and radiologists with RVT credentials. In addition to performing the most advanced ultrasound exams, GHS non-invasive vascular lab participates in several clinical trials and research studies for the treatment of vascular disease.
Comprehensive examinations are available and include the following:
- Carotid artery duplex
- Renal artery/Mesenteric duplex
- Venous duplex of the upper and lower extremities
- Arterial duplex of the upper and lower extremities
- Aortic aneurysm measurement
- Graft surveillance
- Thoracic Outlet and Raynaud’s Testing
- Intraoperative and Intravascular Duplex
