Inpatient Care

Geriatricians see inpatients at all GHS hospitals (Allen Bennett Memorial, Greenville Memorial, Hillcrest Memorial, and North Greenville Long Term Acute Care) for evaluations.

Physician Referrals

A physician referral is needed for all senior services. The purpose of the senior center is the evaluation and treatment of senior-related health issues. Doctors in the center are not primary care physicians—they are geriatric specialists. Patients are assessed, treated, and returned to their primary care doctor for general overall medical care. Followup appointments take place as needed.
