School Sports Athletics

Greenville Hospital System and its partners, Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas, Pivital Therapy, and Acceleration Sports Institute work together to support and provide care to student athletes across the Upstate in middle schools, high schools and colleges.

In fact, the Certified Athletic Trainer program provides athletic trainers to over 30 schools in the Upstate - public and private - as well as several middle schools and colleges. Its one of the 3 largest programs in the US.

In addition, we provide a Certified athletic trainer to Carolina Elite Soccer Accademy (CESA ), the largest competitive and recreational soccer organization in South Carolina.

Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas physicians are the team physicians for all sports at these schools and during football season often on the sidelines before, during, and after the games.

Special Football Clinic

Each Saturday for 10 weeks during football season, Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas takes part in a Bump & Bruise Clinic at Patewood Medical Campus. This clinic is for athletes who sustain injuries on Friday night that can’t wait until Monday to be seen by a doctor. It is staffed by a clinic physician, two certified athletic trainers, and a radiology technician.
